We are seeking an experienced
Lead SharePoint Developer to oversee the design, development, and optimisation of SharePoint environments across our enterprise of 3,000+ staff. You will be pivotal in driving collaboration, content governance, and digital workplace transformation through SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
The
Lead SharePoint Developer will manage the full lifecycle of SharePoint site development, from requirements gathering to deployment and support, while also leading a small offshore team of SharePoint developers. You will be a hands-on leader with both technical expertise and strong people management skills
Responsibilities To Include
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Maintain documentation, training materials, and support guides for end users and administrators.
- Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to design documents
- Provide solutions to business challenges
- Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
- Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports
- Lead the design, build, and deployment of SharePoint Online sites, hubs, and content structures
- Manage and mentor a small offshore team of SharePoint developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver scalable SharePoint solutions.
- Oversee the development of workflows, forms, and automation using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Ensure governance, compliance, and security standards are met across all SharePoint environments.
- Drive continuous improvement in ECM practices, including metadata management, content lifecycle, and user adoption.
- Provide technical leadership in ECM architecture, integration, and migration projects.
- Stay up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
- Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment
- Stakeholder engagement and management
Knowledge And Experience Needed
- Demonstrable experience leading SharePoint Online development in a large enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, Power Platform, and PnP provisioning
- Demonstrable experience of software development lifecycles including Waterfall, Agile in the ECM domain
- Ability to lead development of code components or complete applications.
- Understand concepts of software engineering and ability to work across multiple ECM applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor remote teams
- Self-starting
- Excellent attention to detail
- Customer focused and articulate
- Knowledge of IT Service Management toolsets, including Knowledge Base & Configuration Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, flexible and a proactive team player.
