LOCATION: Northwest

Glenfield Invicta provide end-to-end project solutions, from initial survey and design to commissioning and long-term asset management. They are part of the AVK Group, a global leader in high-quality valves and hydrants for water, wastewater, gas, and fire protection. As part of our rapid growth, we are recruiting for a Lead Site Technician covering the Northwest of the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Lead Site Technician you will have the responsibility of a ‘working supervisor’ carrying out on-site installation, service and refurbishment of all equipment associated with our core business of penstocks, valves, and actuators, as well as other products and services as required by the company.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • You will instruct the Site Technicians on tasks, and enforce safe practices on the site, whilst liaising/communicating with the Project Engineers/Operations team, and customer.
  • Install, service, repair and commission actuators and related flow control equipment.
  • Fault finding, repairing & installing electric actuators.
  • Gathering details, measurements, and full descriptions of any components that require replacement.
  • Helping ensure projects are on schedule through monitoring operations/communicating on progress to Project Engineers and Site Service Managers.
  • Conduct inspections on partially completed and finished works, to ensure quality standards are upheld and visible to the customer.
  • Responsible for the completion of site documentation and reporting of progress.
  • Provide direction and supervision to Site Technicians.
  • Contribute to production of RAMS and other H&S documentation as the company and its clients require, utilising the experience of engineering and H&S staff across the company.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous experience in an equivalent role within electrical engineering, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Preferably SSSTS qualified.
  • A solid technical background, ideally with electric valve actuators and associated equipment is highly desirable
  • Ability to understand and work to engineering drawings.
  • Ability to travel throughout Northwest region on a daily basis. ***But not limited to this area***
