Position
This is an exciting position with the opportunity to design and develop Open GIs Digital products in a cross-functional software development squad. As a Lead Software Engineer, youll be given a platform to mentor other engineers and hone your own skills on a pathway to becoming Technical Lead.
Your key responsibilities
- Writing high-quality, testable code
- Playing a lead role in delivering features and improvements to production
- Documenting architecture decisions and being actively involved in the tribes architectural governance
- Providing advice and feedback on proposed architecture and design decisions
- Coaching and mentoring the squads software engineers
- Leading by example to help build a high-performance team culture
- Supporting platforms and services in production, responding to change failures and fixing issues
- Improving customer outcomes
Experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Java developer/software engineer
- Building and running enterprise-scale web applications in production
- Leading the development of systems and/or major new features in Java
