The Role

As a Learning & Development Partner at Safran Electrical & Power you will be pivotal and influential in shaping the growth of employees across all levels at the site of a leading global aerospace organisation. You will deliver the annual training programme to all employees, ensuring colleagues are performing to a satisfactory level across the site. You will influence the future leaders of aerospace, managing the delivery of early career development programmes, including apprentices, graduates and interns.

  • Development and delivery of the annual training programme to ensure all employees have the training required to perform to a satisfactory level
  • Lead the planning and provision of high quality management and leadership development initiatives, enhancing current and potential capabilities
  • Support managers and HR Business Partners to develop robust succession plans, ensuring strategies are implemented to offer effective development for employees
  • Lead the management and delivery, working closely with the Recruitment & Talent Manager, of all early career development programmes (including Apprenticeships, Graduates, and Internships)
  • Ensure the provision of effective learning and development administrative processes to enable robust management information to be produced
  • Manage the site's training budget with the support of the Head of HR
  • Ensure learning programs deliver future skills requirements of the business, aligning to the output of the site's critical skills plans
  • Keep up to date with advances in talent development, including building an appropriate network of contacts across Safran, externally undertaking professional development as required

Desirable Experience

We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you:

  • Degree educated or equivalent professional qualifications to support depth of HR/L&D experience
  • Ability to effectively facilitate range of group-based activities including workshops and focus groups
  • Experience of utilising LMS systems to streamline training management processes and reporting
  • Significant talent development or learning & development experience with proven experience managing relationships with senior managers and leaders - ideally with some experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment covering technical and statutory compliance training
  • Natural relationship-building style and positive collaborative approach
  • Strong level of commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Evidence of written English at interview stage
