The role
As a Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As a member of a professional team responsible for the development, delivery and assessment of development programmes for trainers and other staff across the Business Unit
Day-to-day, you’ll use training, coaching and mentoring skills to encourage and support everyone to actively improve and critically analyse their performance and developmental needs.
- Be an integral part of the business unit contract teams, providing day-to-day support and direction on learning and development.
- Delivery of accredited and non-accredited programmes for staff (and where applicable Authority personnel) across the Training business unit, including AET, CET, CAVA, IQA qualifications.
- Design and deliver a range of learning programmes, including technical, behavioural and leadership courses
- Deliver training, mentoring and support to new and existing delivery staff to ensure compliance with the teaching and assessment standards and to facilitate continuous professional development.
- Utilise best teaching and learning approaches to ensure any training interventions are maximised.
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements
Essential Experience Of The Learning And Development Specialist
- Extensive education / training quality experience.
- Experience of delivering learning and development to staff within an apprenticeship / commercial training environment.
- A detailed understanding of the training environment and provision of commercial training.
Qualifications For The Learning And Development Specialist
- Level 5 or above teaching qualification
- L2 English and maths or equivalent
- Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA)
- Level 4 IQA qualification
- H&S Level 2 qualification
- Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain UK - Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service + Security Check (EDBSSC) security clearance for this role.
