Role Summary
TalkTalk is embarking on a large-scale cultural transformation, moving from a Telco to a Techco. As Learning, Culture and Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our organisation’s success by strategically aligning appropriate learning, development, culture and engagement initiatives with our strategic business priorities to deliver our transformation successfully and meet our ambitions.
Our direct colleagues are based in the UK however we have a much larger extended workforce based at our partner sites internationally. You will ensure that both our direct and indirect extended workforce is engaged and equipped with the skills, knowledge and environment to work smarter, drive innovation, enhance productivity and delight our customers, to achieve our overarching goals.

This role will report to the Chief People Officer and will be a key member of the People Leadership Team. You will also work closely with the Corporate Affairs teams, to aid internal and external communications alignment, and with our Transformation team.
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications
To play your part in this exciting role you will have proven expertise in the following areas:
- Minimum of five years in a senior learning and/or organisational development role, shaping, delivering and evaluating meaningful leadership, learning, development and talent management strategies and solutions, to deliver successful cultural transformation.
- CIPD qualified to MCIPD or FCIPD status, you will be passionate about your CPD and have additional certifications in areas such as coaching, psychometrics or agile practices.
- Working at pace as an SME within a fast-paced lean, agile, product & technology environment. Your background will likely include also supporting contact centres directly or within outsourced partners, ideally offshore, to shape and align learning, development, culture and engagement activity across our extended workforce.
- Passionate and experienced in the development of leaders and talent pools at all levels; developing, delivering and evaluating fit for purpose leadership & talent strategies that are strategically aligned and enhance leadership capabilities.
- Embedding agile learning approaches that are adaptive, collaborative, and responsive, capable of evolving with changing business demands and expectations, utilising the latest learning technologies, and most importantly supporting transformational change.
- Building successful colleague engagement, using a variety of tools and data.
- Integrating DEB&I in leadership & culture work, backed by strong consulting and analysis.
- Handling multiple initiatives simultaneously to design innovative learning, culture and engagement plans and solutions, using networks, partnerships and latest thinking.
- Collaborating across teams, embracing change, and balancing strategic vision with practical delivery as a self-starter. You will be curious, innovative, proactive with action bias.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cultural Leadership – help us develop and deliver a comprehensive strategy for culture transformation that meets our business objectives. Fostering a high-performance, customer centric culture, where leaders enable colleagues to act in service of our customers
- Learning and Development – shape, deliver and evaluate fit-for-purpose agile and innovative training and development initiatives across all levels, both internally and with our outsourced partners, that align with our cultural and strategic objectives.
- Diversity, Equity, Belonging & Inclusion (DEBI) - lead the DEBI plan, continually assessing our overall organisational health and implementing effective strategies.
- Employee Engagement – working across the organisation to drive employee engagement, utilising tools and measurement strategies to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Thought leadership in culture and DEBI, providing expert advice and best practice.
- Collaborate closely across our People and Culture team, with our business leaders, transformation team, internal comms and outsourced partners to gain a deep understanding and develop solutions that meet our strategic aims, deliver value and service excellence.
