This is a consultative role, working across practice groups, HR and business services teams, and internationally across the firm. You’ll design and manage creative, business-focused learning programmes, project managing them through to implementation, and delivering training where appropriate. You’ll bring fresh ideas and excellent learning experiences to our people.
You’ll be based in our Birmingham office, working a hybrid pattern with three days a week in the office, allowing for collaboration whilst supporting flexibility. Occasional travel to other offices will be required to support firmwide initiatives and training delivery.
Role and key responsibilities
The successful candidate can typically expect to:
– Design blended learning programmes for defined audiences, in consultation with subject matter experts and programme sponsors.
– Identify and manage external suppliers for expert-level training.
– Project manage the implementation of learning programmes, ensuring pre- and post-programme steps are in place to enable ROI.
– Manage programme delivery in conjunction with the learning admin team.
– Deliver training (approx. 20% of the role).
– Advise HR Business Partners, stakeholders and staff (colleagues?) on development solutions.
– Provide guidance on learning options to build skills and experience.
– Lead internal communications and publicity for learning initiatives.
– Review feedback and continuously improve programme design.
– Manage other HR/Talent projects as required.
Skills and experience
We are looking for:
– Proven experience in a learning and development advisory role, ideally within a professional services setting.
– Strong training design skills and the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
– Experience with learning technologies (e-learning, virtual classrooms) and psychometrics is desirable.
– Excellent written communication and influencing skills.
– Comfortable working independently on projects or with suppliers.
