I'm thrilled to share that we're expanding our team at Shaw Gibbs and looking for an organised, proactive, and people-focused individual to step into the newly created role of Learning & Development Coordinator — based in either Basingstoke or Farnham.
As someone who’s passionate about creating great learning experiences and supporting career growth, I can say this is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, high-performing team during an exciting phase of growth.
You’ll be working alongside me and other brilliant colleagues in the Talent Management team to help bring our L&D plans to life — from scheduling learning events and coordinating our Early Careers programmes, to managing digital learning platforms and helping us deliver truly seamless, high-impact training.
If you’re the kind of person who gets energy from bringing people together, solving problems behind the scenes, and making sure everything runs like clockwork (think: coordinating trainers, booking venues, sending pre-course info, tracking learning data – the lot!), you’ll thrive in this role.
And you won’t just be in the background. This role offers genuine exposure to senior leaders, the chance to work across the business, and be part of projects that help shape the future of learning at Shaw Gibbs.
💡 Here’s what we’re looking for:
✔️ 1–2 years’ admin or coordination experience (ideally in corporate HR or L&D team)
✔️ Confidence with MS Office (especially Excel), MS Teams/Zoom
✔️ Organisational ninja – juggling diaries, logistics, and data with ease
✔️ Passionate about learning, inclusivity, and supporting others to grow
✔️ Emotionally intelligent and comfortable working with people at all levels
✔️ UK driving licence – weekly same-day travel between sites is needed
