Learning & Development Partner - Operations

Responsible for the delivery of operational excellence through effective training in all Company Owned Stores, the Learning & Development Partner – Operations will be involved in the planning, delivery and evaluation of a variety of training solutions that equip teams with the practical skills, knowledge and motivation they need to be able to deliver an excellent service to our customers.

About the Role…

• Working with new Store Managers to ensure they are competent to run their store. Support includes all aspects of management; people, operational, financial, Food to Go and service.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the induction process and working with business areas and the Learning and Development Partner – Design to implement these.
• Deliver operational excellence through effective learning interventions for specific products, processes and assessments to validate competence.
• Drive a digital first mindset, developing expert knowledge of internal systems with the ability to problem solve system issues.
• Using data insight to identify underperforming stores and use all available tools to improve KPIs and profitability.
• Completing evaluations and assessments for internal and external standards
• Actively identify and coach high potential aspiration colleagues in Company Owned Stores to achieve their ambitions
• Support the delivery of Pathway development programmes
• Utilize all available tools including role profiled and PDPs to drive development

About You…

• Proven track record in supporting a business in the upskilling of their workforce.
• Fully proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to manage data sets using applications such as Excel, HRIS and Learning Management Systems.
• Strong commercial understanding of food retail industry and food hygiene.
• Ability to identify learning gaps and develop interventions to support them.
• Knowledge and practical experience in the use of a variety of training design applications, including eLearning, the use of LMS system, face to face, digital and virtual.
