As a Lecturer in Child Nursing, you’ll play a key role in delivering an inspiring and enriching learning experience—one that empowers students to think critically, act compassionately, and thrive in today’s dynamic healthcare landscape. Our curriculum is designed to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and innovative mindset needed to lead in contemporary health services.
We’re looking for someone with recent, hands-on experience in child nursing practice—someone who’s passionate about sharing their expertise and supporting students both in the classroom and in clinical settings. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the School to develop exciting research and scholarly initiatives, all while contributing to a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.

- Registration as a Child Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
- A good first degree in a Nursing related topic
- A Higher Education teaching qualification and/or an HEA Fellowship, or willingness to undertake this within the first 12 months
- Experience of leading and implementing creative approaches to developing teaching and learning of Nursing related skills and knowledge in university and/or practice setting.
If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.
