This is a part-time role, working 29.6 hours per week, with opportunity for hybrid working.

A temporary Recruitment and Retention Premia of £2400 per annum is attached to this post, which is a separate payment in addition to the normal salary. A review of market conditions will be carried out 6 months prior to the proposed end date (two years from the date of commencement) to establish if the Recruitment and Retention Premia should continue. Further information on Recruitment and Retention Premia payments is available on request.

The ideal candidate will have regulatory knowledge of UK environmental health and be able to deliver Housing and Environmental Protection modules.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties of the role

• Supporting and contributing to the course management of the Environmental Health Degree and Degree Apprenticeship programmes;
  
  
• Providing high quality teaching, learning, assessment and internal verification across a range of HE programmes;
  
  
• Tutorship of students, giving appropriate support to enable students to achieve their goals;
  
  
• Provide effective support for students in relation to their dissertations across a number of HE programmes;

Required skills and qualifications

• Degree-level and/or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
  
  
• Relevant successful teaching experience.
  
  
• Relevant professional/industry experience.
  
  
• All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain (with the assistance of the College) this Qualification, within the first two years of service.
