Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of psychologists?
We’re seeking a dynamic Lecturer in Psychology to join our vibrant, academically rich, and interdisciplinary School of Humanities and Social Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative team of Psychologists nestled between the South Downs National Park, and the coast here in Brighton. The team has seen some growth in recent years and is keen to add breadth to an already strong bank of expertise.
You will need to have a solid knowledge of general psychology as a basis for teaching on a variety of core BPS psychology curriculum areas, across our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness and ability to contribute to a range of teaching across the curriculum, and have a commitment to pastoral care, and supporting students’ development. The role will require you to take over the supervision of final year dissertation students who have already started their projects, providing support for students’ research where necessary.

To Be Successful In This Post, You Should Also
- Be eligible for membership of the British Psychological Society.
- Have a degree in a relevant subject area.
- Be competent with IT, particularly in relation to teaching and learning.
