The Legal and Compliance department is seeking a motivated university student to join their team as a
Legal & Compliance Intern. In this role, you will assist the team with compliance reviews, due diligence research, legal matters, data protection, process organisation, and team coordination. This internship provides hands-on experience in legal and compliance fields, allowing you to work with experienced professionals, engage in meaningful projects, and develop a diverse skill set for your future career.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Compliance Analyst with conducting compliance reviews, research, and renewals.
- Assist with due diligence research, adverse media and sanctions checks on current and new vendors.
- Support legal matters across Assala UK departments
- Provide support on Data Protection matters.
- Create trackers to generate and organise difference legal processes.
- Aid in the organisation of a shared Legal and Compliance team space.
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the wider C&P team and Senior Legal Counsel on an ad hoc basis
- Assist the Supply Chain teams in implementing and updating the new vendor registration management system.
- Assist in the migration of data from old systems to the new vendor registration management system.
- Test and troubleshoot the vendor registration management system to identify and resolve issues

Requirements
- Recent university Graduate or current university student in a humanities-based discipline.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, ensuring accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Excellent organisational, presentation, and communication skills
- Self motivated with strong attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in French is a plus but not essential
