Legal Counsel | Construction & Engineering | Glasgow with hybrid working | NQ-3 years' PQE

Our client is a leading provider of engineering, building and construction, and project management services, and it's client base includes major PLCs, large multinationals, and local and central government organisations. The company has involvement in a wide range of projects and services, including design and build projects, mechanical and electrical infrastructure matters, design commissions and management, and maintenance and improvement works.
The company office is located in Glasgow, and it is envisaged you will spend 2-3 days in the office.
Role - Legal Counsel:
This is a superb opportunity for a recently qualified Solicitor / Legal Counsel to move in-house, and to undertake a varied role with a focus on construction contracts. Applications are encouraged from solicitors who have existing experience in construction or projects, either post-qualification, and/or as part of your training contract, and you should have a strong desire to work in-house in a varied environment where you can apply your commercial mindset to interesting legal challenges.

About You:
It is anticipated that you will be a Scotland and/or England & Wales qualified Solicitor (NQ-3 years' PQE), and that you will have some experience and/or knowledge of construction law. Existing exposure to standard form contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC, FIDIC) is advantageous, although training on the specifics can and will be provided. For those looking to move into construction work, you will ideally have some demonstrable knowledge of construction law, and/or you will possess experience of complex commercial contracting work.
In addition to the above legal experience, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced business, and handling a varied caseload of projects, and commercial legal matters. You should have an inquiring mind that wants to learn, and ideally you will demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach.
