Legal Counsel - Project Finance

Reporting to General Counsel
Role responsibilities:
- To join and be a core member of the legal team, assisting and managing on every day transactional work from engagement letters to corporate authorisations
- Manage core transactional work including NDA's, KYCs and general filings.
- Manage external consultancy support that provides day-to-day company secretarial and governance services
- To support the legal team on legal and regulatory analysis, including new legal developments which may affect the business
- To ensure best practice in corporate governance, including recording investment approvals and board reporting on legal matters, maintaining conflicts registers and directorships lists
- To oversee legal documentation by managing external law firms as required on more complex matters
- To liaise in a proactive, problem solving manner with all areas of the business on legal matters
Experience required:
- 1-2 PQE solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction.
- experience working at a London solicitor
- Funds experience desirable
- Excellent academic background
- Self-starter with excellent presentation skills, in particular written
- Judgement to balance commercial and legal risks to achieve proportionate outcomes
