Your role at a glance

The Legal Counsel, Investment & Real Estate is a lawyer of multiple years experience with legal knowledge and understanding of corporate investments and joint ventures and working understanding of real estate acquisitions, development and financing, with ancillary knowledge of a range of other legal issues relating to core competencies. This role supports NTT Global Data Centers business throughout the world on investment initiatives and real estate transactions.

What you will do

Evaluating and providing input on external regional counsel.
Assisting on negotiating, drafting, and finalization of investment joint venture and transactional agreements for the Company.
Assisting on investment and real estate transactions entered into globally.
Identifying risks presented by global investment and real estate transactions.
Collaborating with NTT GDC Investment team on global real estate and investment projects.
Assisting on the handling of any investment-related disputes in conjunction with in-house and outside counsel.
Identifying and notifying the Senior Director of any potential risks arising from global real estate contracts and investment transactions.

Providing input to the Senior Director on complex inquiries from all departments regarding joint venture and transaction document obligations and commitments.

Handling issues in area of core competency with oversight by the Senior Director.

What we are looking for

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in sale and purchase agreements, corporate M&A transactions, joint venture agreements and negotiations.
Data center industry experience and experience in real estate joint ventures, financing and investment a plus.
Interest in combining legal and business analysis and judgment in a practical manner.
Well organized individual, able to manage stress in a fast-paced environment and produce consistent, positive results under deadline pressure.
Recognition of cultural norms and practices in differing target regions.
Current member in good standing with governing organization for counsel.
