West Berkshire Council is seeking a Licensing Applications Officer to join our busy Licensing Team within the Public Protection Service, reporting to the Lead Licensing Applications Officer.
The Role
Responsibilities
As a Licensing Applications Officer, you will be responsible for processing and assessing licensing applications, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing applications for all licence applications
- Maintaining licence records on our licensing database
- Advising applicants and licensees on licensing requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experience working in a licensing role within a local authority or similar environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
