Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leading program teams of Engineers to deliver effective use of Virtual and Physical tools and properties to support the development and validation of design from concept to launch stages.
· Drive and support design systems meetings to achieve the dimensionally optimized design.
· Actively supporting the cross functional team on daily basis for all dimensional management issues.
· Guide and support DVA engineers for day-to-day tolerance analysis issues such as CDVR analysis, Measurement data analysis, statistics and functional measurements.
· Lead Engineering, Process and Perceived Quality and Supplier teams with Build Process selection and improvement plans
· Supplier liaison with respect to tolerance specification for system components and assemblies,
· Locator & datum strategy and Measurement Point Selection processes.

· Support Prototype and Launch activities developing root cause analysis, control plans and handover documentation as required to support Production ramp up.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education:
ø Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in Dimensional management with hands-on DVA experience.
• Technical Skills:
ø Dimensional Management
ø Body Construction or Final Assembly Manufacturing Engineering
ø Project management
ø Coordination of multifunctional teams
ø BiW metrology
ø Tooling and fixture design
ø Comprehensive MS office (excel)
• Software Skills:
ø 3DCS and/or VisVSA
ø Team Centre engineering ·
ø Vis-Mockup
• Soft Skills:
ø Six Sigma Problem solving skill sets
ø Team Leadership
ø Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
ø Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
