Lighting Designer

Permanent | Competitive Salary | Hybrid Working

An established UK-based lighting business is looking for a talented Lighting Designer to join its growing technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on varied and engaging projects, with real influence over design quality, efficiency, and outcomes.

The role suits someone who enjoys combining technical lighting expertise with creative problem-solving and collaboration. Hybrid working is available following an initial onboarding period.

What You’ll Be Doing

Producing detailed lighting designs using industry-standard software ( AGi32, Lighting Reality, Relux, Dialux – training provided if required)
Working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective, compliant lighting solutions
Reviewing and refining designs to improve efficiency and reduce luminaire quantities where possible
Interpreting and applying relevant lighting standards and regulations
Supporting projects from concept through to completion

Occasional UK site visits (may include some flexibility around working hours)

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in lighting design (portfolio examples welcome)
Strong understanding of lighting principles, metrics, and technical requirements
Confidence using lighting design software
High attention to detail and a structured approach to design work
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
A genuine interest in professional development and staying current with industry trends

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (dependent on experience)
