We are looking for an experienced Line Producer to join our award-winning documentary team to work on a new premium documentary series.


The post would suit someone who has a strong background in working on SVOD documentary series for US clients, including international filming.


Must have a proven track record of building strong relationships with important clients and stakeholders, managing the requirements of co-production partners, and confident with the complexities of co-ordinating international post production remotely, in a fast-paced environment.


A knowledge of and interest in motorsport is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the planning and organisation of filming, both in the UK and overseas.
  • Planning and contracting staff, directly managing the production management support team and leading the overall team when the EP and producer are away on shoots. You will be mentoring junior members of the team and actively seeking new junior and senior talent from diverse backgrounds.
  • Budgeting, including constructing budgets for new clients and broadcasters, revising existing budgets and overseeing cost managers. Negotiating deals with new and returning clients and looking at new business opportunities.
  • Working alongside Business Affairs to ensure programmes and productions are compliant, including contracting staff, freelance and talent
  • Working alongside the Showrunner, Creative Directors, Head of Production, Executive Producers to execute projects.
  • Overseeing risk assessments, staffing and post schedules, face to face client/broadcast liaison and facilitating client/broadcaster requests as need. Working alongside Senior Producers to attend client meetings and be a key point of contact for projects as needed
  • Maintain the vision and ethos of Whisper and promote a positive working environment where production talent can grow and gain opportunities in the business

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • An experienced Line Producer, with at least three LP credits. Experience in SVOD documentaries is essential.
  • Experience managing SVOD post production through to delivery including paperwork.
  • Must have proven network of crew and suppliers within the Documentary industry.
  • Excellent team player; organised and able to work quickly without losing attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly access, prioritise and act with a creative and flexible outlook
  • Integrity – able to look after the interests of the company while building effective working relationships with colleagues and outside contacts (including broadcasters and talent management) gaining their trust & respect
  • Ability to effectively articulate complex issues in writing and verbally.
  • Comfortable working in a pressurised environment
  • Proven leadership & management skills including line managing team members as well as a strong team ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a cooperative member of a team as well as interact with senior level executives and clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Working Days:

5 days a week – x 4 days in office and x 1 day WFH.

This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement.

Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.

Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.

This role may require some international travel
