VIQU are working with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Linux Enterprise Specialist to support a mission-critical Linux platform underpinning core finance and operational systems. The successful Linux Enterprise Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and optimising enterprise Linux environments that host SAP S/4HANA applications, while supporting ongoing platform improvements and cloud integration with Azure. This role sits within a collaborative Infrastructure Support team and will combine business-as-usual platform support with project work, ensuring stability, performance, and security across the Linux estate.

Key Responsibilities of the Linux Enterprise Specialist:

• Manage and maintain enterprise Linux environments (SUSE preferred).
• Provide support for Linux platforms hosting SAP S/4HANA applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise platform stability.
• Support Azure-hosted infrastructure and cloud integration initiatives.

Experience Required of the Linux Enterprise Specialist:

• Proven experience administering Linux in enterprise environments.
• Experience with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server preferred (other distributions such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, Fedora, or CentOS also considered).
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments (highly desirable).
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Experience working within large, complex platforms.
• Around 4+ years’ Linux administration experience.
