About the Role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to support, maintain, and monitor Linux-based systems. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who want to build strong system administration skills while working under the guidance of senior infrastructure engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilisation
Perform routine system maintenance, patching, and updates
Troubleshoot system, application, and performance issues
Support user access management and permissions
Assist with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
Escalate complex issues to senior administrators when required

Required Skills & Experience

1–2 years of experience in a Linux System Administrator or Support role
Strong knowledge of:
Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)

Command-line tools and shell scripting basics

Experience with:

User and group management

File systems, storage, and permissions

Basic networking concepts

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Good communication and documentation abilities

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

Exposure to:
Virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
Monitoring tools and log analysis
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure – basic exposure)
Familiarity with:
Automation tools (Ansible – basic level)
Containers (Docker – basic knowledge)

Education

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in:
Computer Science
Information Technology
Or a related technical field

Certifications (Advantage)

RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
Linux+ or equivalent certifications
