Bullhorn is looking for a problem-solving systems focused technologist to become our next Linux Systems Administrator II. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and operating products and solutions for Bullhorn’s production environment, while focusing on ongoing project work. The position will require proven technical experience with a strong foundation in operating systems and networking skills along with a positive attitude.

As a Systems Administrator II, You Will

  • Design, build, implement, and manage projects and solutions for Bullhorn’s production environments
  • Identify and enact automation opportunities for future projects of a similar nature
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new product deployment and enhancement projects, ensuring preparedness in servicing the product
  • Document technical environments, processes and procedures
  • Maintain network and systems configurations globally across numerous data centers.
  • Develop system analysis and reporting tools and tools for task automation
  • Monitor and maintain all production system equipment and services
  • Ensure 24/7 availability of the Bullhorn production application environments. This will include weekend on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
  • Provide direct support to Software Development, Quality Engineering, Customer Support, Professional Services and third party vendors as needed to resolve production problems.

As a Systems Administrator II, You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-6 years total experience with systems administration, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Strong Linux skills (Redhat/CentOS, Debian)
  • Windows server administration skills
  • Experience in automation and managing large server environments
  • Experience with Java-based applications running within Wildfly/Tomcat
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, Bash
  • Previous experience in a SaaS and/or high volume website environment preferred
  • Previous on-call experience

  • LDAP/Kerberos authentication against Microsoft Active Directory
  • SAN and NAS technologies (iSCSI, FCP, CIFS, NFS, etc)
  • Kubernetes
  • Experience using Prometheus, ELK, or Icinga
  • Coding and tooling experience
  • Open Source Project experience
  • Puppet/CFEngine
  • Experience working in JIRA/Confluence
