Litigation Solicitor

Law Lane Solicitors is seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, provide high-quality legal advice, and represent clients in contentious matters while ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and firm policies.

• Manage a full and varied caseload of litigation matters from inception to conclusion
• Handle matters including (but not limited to):
• Civil litigation
• Contractual disputes
• Debt recovery
• Property litigation
• Employment disputes (desirable)
• Conduct legal research, drafting pleadings, witness statements, and court documents
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and negotiations where required
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural rules, and limitation periods
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the firm’s case management system (LEAP)
• Provide clear, practical, and timely advice to clients
• Supervise and support junior staff, paralegals, or trainees where appropriate
• Contribute to business development and departmental growth

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• 1-3 years PQE in Litigation (flexible depending on experience)
• Proven experience managing litigation matters independently
• Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and client-care skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong organisational and time-management skills

Desirable:

• Experience using LEAP or similar case management systems
• Supervisory or mentoring experience
• Business development or fee-earning targets experience
