Litigation Solicitor

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE)

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join a well-established firm based in Bury. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload covering debt recovery, civil litigation, HDR (housing disrepair), and general litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a broad caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
Handle debt recovery claims from pre-action through to enforcement.
Deal with housing disrepair (HDR) matters, including both claimant and defendant work.
Advise and represent clients in a range of general litigation disputes.
Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
Conduct negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
Attend court hearings where required.
Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to clients and maintain excellent client relationships.

About You:

Qualified Solicitor (1–5 years’ PQE preferred, though all levels will be considered).
Solid background in litigation, with experience across debt recovery, HDR, and general civil disputes.
Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive and client-focused approach.
