Luton Sexual Health is seeking a locum Specialty Doctor to join the well-established Luton Sexual Health Service as an addition to the existing team of four Consultants and one Specialty doctor. The appointee will need to demonstrate experience of independent delivery of an integrated sexual health service, including working with people living with HIV, STI diagnosis and treatment and contraception provision. There will be opportunity for the appointee to develop a subspecialist interest and to support the further development of the Luton Sexual Health service.
Key Tasks
- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients presenting to the Luton & Dunstable University Hospital NHS FT.
- To share with colleagues in Luton Sexual Health the management of all patients presenting to the service.
- Teaching and training of intermediate grade and junior medical staff, healthcare professionals working in primary care, nursing staff and medical students.
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
- To have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development (CPD).
