About The Role
The Logistics Business Partner will serve as the key liaison between the IT function and the National Distribution Centre (NDC) at GSF Carparts. This role ensures that logistics operations are fully supported by robust, scalable, and efficient IT systems. The successful candidate will translate operational needs into technical requirements, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure seamless integration between warehouse systems (e.g., WMS – Minster Edge and Autopart) and broader IT infrastructure.
About You
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between IT and NDC operations, ensuring alignment of logistics processes with IT capabilities.
- Lead the continuous improvement of warehouse and logistics systems, including Edge WMS and integration with Autopart and other Klipboard platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and logistics stakeholders to define and document business requirements, workflows, and system enhancements.
- Support the rollout of new technologies and digital tools that enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of IT solutions.
- Provide training and support to senior NDC staff on new systems and processes.
- Participate in strategic planning and project governance for logistics-related IT initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in an IT business partner role within a logistics, supply chain, or Retail/e-commerce business. Experience of a distribution or automotive parts environment would be a distinct advantage.
- Will probably have come from a Business Analysis or Logistics operational role and have moved into, or are seeking a move into a technology team.
- Have a very strong understanding of warehouse operations, processes and systems (e.g., WMS, OMS).
- Experience with system integration projects and digital transformation in logistics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building and analysis and communication skills.
- Ability to translate operational challenges into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with tools such as Edge (Minster), Autopart or similar mid-scale platforms is essential.
Desirable Qualifications
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is advantageous.
- CCBA level qualification in Business Analysis.
- Multiple years of experience working in a fast paced, customer focussed, multi-site or national distribution environment.
