Logistics Technician

Salary: £37,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 19:00

Location: Data Centre environment – West London (with occasional support at a secondary site)

The Role

We are seeking a Logistics Technician to support logistics operations within a critical data centre environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, asset validation, inventory control, and supporting data centre operations to ensure accuracy, security, and zero disruption.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, process, and validate incoming shipments
Package and dispatch outbound shipments, including secure consignments
Manage inventory records using internal asset management systems
Oversee reusable equipment and ensure accurate tracking
Unbox equipment for handover to data centre installation teams
Maintain clean, organised, and secure stockroom environments
Take full responsibility for assets stored on site
Support day-to-day shipping and logistics operations

Carry out regular cycle counts and inventory audits

Ensure all logistics activity follows approved procedures and policies

Act as a key point of contact for logistics-related queries on site

Support audits and equipment handovers for new or refreshed installations

Assist with user testing of logistics and inventory tools where required

Order and organise materials where necessary

Perform data quality checks to ensure systems and records remain accurate

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in logistics, inventory, or warehouse operations
Understanding of working within a critical or regulated environment
Physically fit and able to lift equipment up to 20kg
Confident using basic IT tools (email, Word, Excel)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Clear verbal communication and good written English
