Machine Operator

Role Description

Supporting the manufacture of precision products for both internal and external customers. Being part of a progressing company striving to develop its processes and practices to a higher standard while utilising some of the latest machinery in manufacturing our futures.

Key responsibilities and tasks

• Loading materials into machines and running manufacture cycles.

• Operating CNC machines (milling and turning) to produce various products for internal and external customers.

• Ability to read and correctly interpreting engineering documentation preferred but not essential as training can be provided.

• Ensure all production paperwork has been completed to the required standards, training can be provided.

• Performing in process checks on components and recording findings, training can be provided.

• Operating other CNC/manual machines or equipment as and when required, training can be provided.

• Ensuring quality of manufactured product is always to drawing/specification.

• Knowledge of CNC Heidenhain/Fanuc controls would be advantageous but not essential as training can be provided.

• Good communication with internal and external contacts.

• Ensuring a professional, quality service (external and internal) is provided at all times.

• Co-operate fully with the company regarding all H&S matters and be aware of the importance of complying with H&S Policy to ensure a safe workplace and maintain the integrity of the environment.

• Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.
