BMI UK&I have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is based in Leighton Buzzard.
Role Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator plays a lead in the implementation of the site and UK Maintenance Strategy, using SAP as the base infrastructure. The role is fundamentally to ensure that the maintenance teams are aligned and support the development of a maintenance framework to meet the plant and process unique needs without compromising standardisation in line with the wider UK Maintenance Strategy. The role will be responsible for the delivery of and efficient running of the preventative maintenance system to ensure each of our processes has an agreed planned maintenance and planned work schedule whilst meeting the agreed Site KPI's. This role is key to supporting the site to improve overall plant reliability, scheduling tasks and follow up work as necessary, work with the engineers to analyse and create data streams to enable our Maintenance Team to focus on key areas of the any processes to achieve maximum efficiency levels and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets whilst developing a long term strategy for the site.
As The Maintenance Coordinator, Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Implementation and policing of SAP Maintenance Processes including condition based monitoring and introduction of MWI's (Standardised Format)
- Review & Support MRP inventory across the site (min/max levels),opportunity for strategic consignment stock holding
- Management of the planned maintenance process across site, issuing and assisting the Team Leader with issuing tasks and monitoring reactive breakdowns
- Supporting Site MM, Site Maintenance Team and UK Maintenance Coordinator to deliver a sustainable process.
- Create and deliver monthly performance reports to support Team Leaders with managing Teams as well as shared data for the wider Operations Team
- Deliver Training and Support as required (SAP Maintenance System).
- Maintain a high level of communication with MM's and Site Maintenance, using collective skills and experience through accountability and ownership of all aspects of the Maintenance process.
- Ensure stock availability doesn't negatively impact process up time, also coordinate the implementation of Spares Kits being available as part of our Planned Maintenance improvements.
- Take responsibility for stock availability, consumable stock holding / requirements.
Your Key Skills And Experience Will Include
- Analytical skills with drive to implement improvements.
- Ability to support Site Maintenance Teams.
- Experience analysing & preparing cost-saving quotations using Maintenance and/or Process data (analysis).
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Maintenance CMMS Systems.
- Ability to work with OEM / Suppliers to develop Equipment Maintenance Plan.
- Good all round Communication skills.
- Experience in the FMCG/Manufacturing background.
- Lean/six sigma qualifications (desirable)
- Experience of a target driven/KPI focussed production environment (desirable)
- Understanding of SAP (R3/S4-HANA) (desirable)
- IOSH/ NEBOSH certificate (desirable)
