What you'll be doing
Responsibilities
As a key member of our maintenance team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fabrication, bundling, and overhead line stores. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing maintenance on CNC and manual machinery used in steelwork fabrication.
- Supporting operations through general maintenance tasks across the plant.
- Collaborating with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Working under both electrical and mechanical permit systems, following approved safe systems of work.
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out proactive maintenance as directed by Team Leads and the Fabrication Manager.
- Conducting weekly legionella testing audits.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to risk assessments and work instructions.
- Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on boiler systems.
- Championing our Zero Harm safety culture in everything you do.
Who we're looking for
We’re seeking a proactive and safety-conscious individual with a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background. Experience with CNC machinery and a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement are essential.
The Following Skills And Experience Are Essential
- Experience in use on CNC milling to be able to make tooling for production use;
- Experience in the operation of overhead cranes and plant;
- Experience in forklift truck and telehandler operations;
- NVQ level 3 in electrical system and equipment;
- NVQ level 3 in mechanical maintenance and installation;
- 18th edition wiring regulations;
- ESSW and MSSW awareness training;
- PAT qualification;
- Asbestos awareness and fire marshall training;
- First aid at work certification.
