Job Description
We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Operative to assist with the day to day maintenance of the School sites. The School educates pupils across three sites: Stamford Junior School for children aged 2-11, Stamford School for students aged 11-16, and Stamford Sixth Form which teaches students aged 16-18.
This is a 52 weeks per year position, six hours per day, but we would consider term time hours (34 weeks per year).
Roles And Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day maintenance of the school buildings and grounds
- Carry out basic repairs, painting, and general upkeep
- Support with setting up rooms and furniture for school events
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across the site
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner
- Work alongside the Site Manager and wider facilities team
Essential Criteria
- A practical, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of DIY and maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills and a team player
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
