Maintenance Technician

A leading provider of diesel and gas engines is offering an exciting opportunity in their automotive division for a talented Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician.

This position involves delivering expert mechanical support to ensure consistent, high-quality data output, managing equipment breakdowns, installing and upgrading facility systems, and maintaining complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems. The technician works collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and cross-functional teams, leads improvement initiatives, and supports the development of apprentices. With a strong foundation in engineering and diagnostics, the role contributes to keeping the facility at the forefront of engine development and validation, while maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.

Key Requirements:

• Completion of a full indentured engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs across mechanical systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic or fuel systems.
• Subject matter knowledge in mechanical maintenance, pneumatics/hydraulics, or pipe fitting.
• Familiarity with laser alignment of rotating equipment.
