Brief Description

Join our leadership team at
Euston Station, one of the busiest and most high-profile transport hubs in the country. In this pivotal role, you’ll champion exceptional customer experience while ensuring the safe, smooth and efficient running of station operations.
You’ll support and guide station teams, lead our control room operation, lead daily resource planning, and take ownership of safety, emergency and evacuation procedures. With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll help deliver customer-driven projects, support staff development, and identify commercial opportunities that boost station performance.
As a visible leader and role model, you’ll collaborate with Team Euston industry colleagues, to drive operational excellence, and help shape a station environment that’s safe, welcoming and consistently exceeds customer expectations—all at the heart of
Euston.
Please be aware this role holds a mandatory requirement for the incumbent to hold valid security vetting clearance. Any offer will be conditional on the successful candidate obtaining clearance prior to a start date being agreed.

About The Role (External)
This Euston-based role focuses on delivering an outstanding customer experience while ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the station. You’ll support the Station Manager, lead teams day-to-day, manage resources, and oversee safety, emergency and evacuation procedures in line with industry standards and legislation.
You’ll also drive commercial performance, support staff development, and contribute to customer-focused improvement projects. Acting as a visible role model, you’ll help coordinate station investment plans and build strong relationships with local stakeholders to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
We are looking for someone who is organised and structure in their approach and decision making, which complements working as an industry team to drive change.

- Drive commercial initiatives and customer-led improvements across the station.
- Support, train and develop staff while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
Essential
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Skilled in leadership and development of people within and across teams and functions including dealing with Employee Relations issues and delivering customer service in a complex operational environment
- Successful experience in operational management in a safety critical industry e.g. control room operations or an understanding of route operations
- Excellent communication skills across varied internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience in managing a large venue, encompassing public safety and crowd management
- Ability to understand financial systems, budgetary tools and undertake contract management in a complex commercial environment
Desirable
- Qualification in safety management
- Understanding corporate governance e.g. procurement rules
- Understanding railway industry structure and responsibility
