Salary Range: £45,000 - £48,000 per year

The Management Accountant will play a key role in providing accurate financial reporting, analysis, and strategic insights to support business decision-making.
This position involves preparing monthly management accounts, conducting variance analysis, controlling cashflow forecasting, assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. You will work closely with various departments to ensure financial targets are met, costs are controlled, and financial operations run efficiently.
This role will include an element of continuous process development. As the business grows, this role will be integral to reviewing processes, identifying weaknesses and rolling out improved processes where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Second on the team for the month end process. Working with the team to deliver quality, on-time results across all disciplines
- Reconciliation of the relevant parts of the balance sheet and dealing with any resulting discrepancies
- Works across the business to build excellent stakeholder relationships and understand key business drivers of financial data
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company goals
- Responsible for controlling the Fixed Asset reporting for the UK group
- Owner of the Intercompany reconciliation and reporting for the UK group
- Responsible for reviewing VAT and submitting VAT returns for the UK group
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring optimal working capital management.
- Point of contact for the audits on all areas under the role’s remit
- Assist in the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting techniques

Technical Skills
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – (Part Qualified considered if relevant experience is proven)
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role, with at least 3 years of experience in financial management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with financial modelling and variance analysis is an advantage
