The role offers a hybrid working model, with a minimum of 2 days based in our Global HQ in Cirencester.

Do you thrive when you’re trusted to just get things done? Do you love a challenge, enjoy solving problems and keep your cool no matter what? If so, this could be your perfect next step!

We’re on the hunt for a high-energy, self-motivated Management Accountant to join our team. This is a role for someone who loves working independently, takes ownership, and brings both logical thinking and creative problem-solving to the table. You’ll play a key part in keeping our financial heartbeat strong – especially in the fast-moving, detail-driven world of manufacturing.

You’ll have the freedom to work independently, but that means reviewing your own work with a critical eye to spot and fix errors before they leave your desk. Your attention to detail is just as important as your problem-solving skills.

As a management accountant you will be responsible for producing all accounting and monthly financial reporting relating to manufacturing operations and UK inventory with a supporting role in group inventory. The role will also include the preparation of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations and acting as a key player in driving continuous improvement across the teams processes

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include (but are not limited to)

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including the Manufacturing P&L and UK stock reconciliation, to a strict timetable.
  • Production of monthly WIP, manufacturing recoveries, UK inventory valuations and GRNI including reconciliation to the general ledger, ensuring that any differences are investigated and resolved in a timely manner
  • Supporting in the preparation of global inventory reporting on a monthly basis, including ad-hoc support to Subsidiary Finance teams as required.
  • Supporting in calculations of global stock provision.
  • Maintain the UK standard costing system including acting as the Finance lead for the ‘item master’ process (new product launches) and cost roll-up for new and existing products.
  • Maintain subsidiary standard costs, to be aligned with UK transfer pricing.
  • Drive the development and improvement of the month-end process including assistance in the development of reporting, ERP enhancements, and forecasting.
  • Support in annual audit at a group level, whilst being main contact at a local entity level; including delivery of information for group and local statutory disclosures.
  • Additional analysis and reporting as and when required

Skills and Experience

  • AAT qualified (or equivalent) or Part qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, with an understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory
  • Highly numerate and diligent individual with strong attention to detail
  • Commercially aware with excellent people skills
  • Experience of Sage Line 1000 advantageous but not essential
  • Strong MS Excel skills
