We produce and sell a wide range of high-quality conveyor and power transmission belts from our sites in over 70 countries. At our UK Production Unit in Bingley, West Yorkshire, we are now looking for a Management Accountant to monitor and manage the unit’s accounting activities in liaison with other finance teams across the group
The position is based mainly in Bingley, West Yorkshire, with 1 day per week remote working/WFH in agreement with the Head of Finance, after the initial probation period. Travel to our head office in Elland will also be required a minimum of once a month.

Your main challenges
- Oversee core accounting processes and ensure accurate monthly reporting, including Hyperion uploads.
- Collaborate with the UK finance team on transactional accounting and reporting activities.
- Prepare and review internal financial and operational statements.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Analysing monthly results, trends, and variances; provide clear explanations and recommendations.
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Monitoring financial performance against targets; identify gaps and support corrective actions.
- Produce variance reports and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate costing and inventory master data across production units.
- Review job orders and variances; implement solutions to address root causes.
- Oversee plant inventory control, including cycle count procedures and asset safeguarding.
- Support capital acquisition planning and fixed asset management.
- Act as a finance business partner to plant managers and operational teams.
- Collaborate with Belting Division Finance, Controlling, and Supply Chain functions to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
- Monitoring and managing financial and operational risks within the plant environment.
What we look for
- Newly or part-qualified in ACA, CIMA, ACCA
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in product costing, maintenance of costing and inventory controls
- Experience using ERP Software (preferably SAP), Hyperion, or other consolidation/ reporting tools. Working knowledge of MS Excel for intermediate-level data analysis
- Strong inter-personal skills and an ability to challenge and constructively contribute to a cross-functional team and the business at large
- Advanced IT skills, especially Microsoft Office
