Management Accountant - £60k - Professional Services - Central London (Hybrid c. 2 days in the office)
My client is looking for an ambitious Management Accountant that wants to join a small team with lots of exposure to Senior Finance Leaders which will offer unrivalled progression opportunities for high performers.
You'll have the following responsibilities
- Responsible for monthly P&L management accounting including reviewing journal posting by a junior direct report
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations
- Detailed analysis of business results including variances to plan and prior year, historic business trends, KPI performance
- Develop strong business partnering relationships with non-finance leaders and the Executive team
- Analysis of billable hours, WIP and accruals
- Support the preparation of the monthly results presentation for the FD & CFO including detailed commentary
- Driving key projects including cost saving initiatives, working capital improvement initiatives
- Drive process improvements including shortening month end close process
You'll have the following skills & experience
- Fully qualified, ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- This candidate will come from a professional services background with a deep understanding of billable hours, fees and work in progress
- Commercially aware with strong operational and business focus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Able to work proactively with the ability to prioritise own work and work of others to meet deadlines and achieve targets in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Team player, bridge builder, approachable and flexible
- Seek out improvements, challenges the status quo, "thinks outside the box"
- Ability to communicate effectively on all levels to financial and non-financial audiences
