The Role
- As Management Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of the finance function, delivering timely and insightful financial information to senior management. Your work will directly influence key business decisions, ensuring strong financial control and strategic planning.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, with regular variance analysis and stakeholder commentary.
- Drive cost control initiatives and provide ongoing financial analysis including margin and pricing reviews.
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations; support year-end audit.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies across the finance function.
- Provide insights for ad-hoc projects and business cases as requested by senior leadership.
About You
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with substantial relevant experience.
- Proven background in management accounting, reporting, and financial planning.
- Technically strong with an excellent grasp of accounting principles and systems.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Confident communicator able to collaborate across departments and explain finance to non-financial stakeholders.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and driven attitude with a keen eye for detail.
