Oliver James have partnered with an expanding business located in Manchester who are looking for a driven Management Accountant ready to dive into the numbers and help shape key business decisions. You'll be reporting into the Commercial Finance team, owning management accounts across multiple divisions, and working closely with senior leaders to deliver insights that matter.
As you grow in the role, so will your scope, this is more than just month-end.
What you'll do:
Own monthly management accounts for a range of P&L cost centres
Analyse revenue and costs, flag variances, and tell the story behind the numbers
Handle invoice journals, prepayments, accruals, and other month-end duties
Keep balance sheet reconciliations tight and tidy
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and internal/external reporting
Spot ways to streamline processes and improve systems
File VAT returns accurately and on time
Meet with Execs and budget holders to review financial performance
What you'll need:
Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (nice to have)
Solid understanding of stock accounting
Analytical mindset with strong numeracy
Advanced Excel skills
Detail-oriented, with a passion for improving processes
Excellent communication skills as you'll be liaising with finance and non-finance teams alike
Great at juggling priorities and meeting deadlines
