The Role:
We are looking for a Management Accountant who has a passion for working at fast-paced, high-growth companies.
We are looking for a detail oriented, roll-up-your-sleeves, smart and energetic person who seeks to make a positive impact on the company's revenue accounting, assist in maintaining accurate financial records and help to maintain a high-performance finance function.
The role requires building trusted relationships and partnerships with the Client Services, Project Management & Media teams with strong financial, commercial, and analytical support.
The role also requires working closely with the financial controller to maintain accurate financial information for the EMEA entities.
What you'll bring:
- Part qualified.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experiences, preferable with Agency experience.
- Knowledge of revenue accounting, forecasting, job management, management accounts, and process improvement.
- Line Management experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Strong Excel and software experience.
- NetSuite experience preferrable.
- Excellent Analytical Skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Credible track record of meeting tight deadlines with accuracy, integrity, and a sense of calm.
What you’ll do:
- Assist the Finance Director and Financial Controller in the finance revenue function.
- Manage the revenue forecast spreadsheet to ensure it is completed correctly, any errors are resolved, ensure the forecast is accurate, and complete variance analysis and reporting as required.
- Work with the Media team to ensure accounting on jobs is accurate and matches media plans.
- Check Statement of Works (SoW) are accurate and in line with rates and commercial terms.
- Ensure that all related areas above are accurately reflected and maintained in NetSuite.
- Ensure jobs are closed in a timely manner to limit risk, have awareness of client contract compliance and full reconciliations are completed.
- Monthly WIP meetings with Client Services, Project Management & Media teams to ensure that projects are on track.
- Perform month end revenue recognition process, accurately record revenue in NetSuite and reconcile project related balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure audit requirements are always compliant and manage the audit of any revenue related elements.
- Prepare accurate accounting records for all assigned overhead cost codes, analysis of cost run rates and maintaining reconciliations for the related balance sheet control accounts.
- Reviewing credit card transactions and coding whilst maintaining credit card controls.
- Line Management of the Finance Assistant.
- Work closely with Finance Assistant on managing accounts receivable and payables and be the first point of contact for any issues in these areas.
- Prepare monthly cashflow forecasting.
- Prepare national statistics reports and VAT returns for UK and Poland.
- Manage the dormant subsidiary, Germany.
- Support the Financial Controller in the day-to-day financial control and business requests for the UK and Poland.
- Adhoc support and reporting requirements.
