Main duties of the job
Are you interseted in joining a £1.4 billion+ budget teaching hospital as part of one of our friendly and dedicated divisional Finance teams.
You'll support high-quality financial management and provide expert advice across clinical and corporate services, whilst developing your career as a management accountant.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and budget holder meetings
Assist with budget setting, forecasting, and service change proposals
Collaborate with the Senior Management Accountant and Finance Manager, as well as other Management Accountants and service managers
Use Excel and computerised accounting systems to deliver financial insights
The ideal candidate would be
- Part-qualified CCAB or AAT finalist
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Experience in NHS or public sector finance is a plus

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
Essential criteria
- Health & physical abilities sufficient for the post (if necessary, with reasonable adjustments with respect to the Equality Act/Disability Discrimination Act)
- Graduate Level/AAT Member plus experience/studying for professional qualification to certificate level or equivalent knowledge and experience. 3 years’ experience in a finance environment.
- Understanding of basic budgetary control processes.
- Comfortable with IT and able to use spreadsheet modelling packages
- Understanding of Financial systems and general ledger.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in a team supervising members of a team. NHS/Public sector Experience
