GAC UK is looking for candidates for the role of Management Accountant. Could it be you?
GAC UK employs over 300 experts across more than 25 offices covering all of the UK, Ireland and Gibraltar. We deliver a wide range of integrated shipping, logistics and marine services to the energy and shipping industries. We also serve specialised sectors like marine leisure, sports and events, automotive and aviation, providing complex and time-critical logistics solutions. We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to be based at our Grangemouth office, but with the potential to be working from home (to be discussed at interview).

Main Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of the quarterly and monthly VAT returns and other statutory returns
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements
- Maintaining and updating control accounts
- Calculation and maintenance of monthly accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with the budgeting/forecasting/cashflow processes
- Ad-hoc project work and financial analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining company fixed asset registers
- Analysis and posting of credit card and cash expenses
- Improving Processes
- Adding Value to the business through effective business partnering
- Working across multiple currencies
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team or using their own initiative
- Highly competent in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience in a fast paced finance department
- Accounting Qualification – ICAS/ACCA/CIMA etc (Newly qualified will be considered)
