Trade Counter Manager.
In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of building materials and plumbing and heating supplies products therefore previous sales experience in a similar role within a builder’s or plumber’s merchant environment is essential.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Providing quotations for customers
- Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
- Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
- Taking a proactive approach to building and plumbing/heating product sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
- Use a customer relationship management system.
- Generate new business with existing and new customers.
- Upsell and gap analysis on existing customers.
- Cold calling
- Lead qualifying.
- Quote follow up.
- Promoting new products via face to face and via social media channels
(live videos and enthusiastic camera work will be part of promoting our branch too).
- Good front of house manner with a welcoming personality is a must
- Arrange trade days, promotions and work on promoting collections and web sales of all light side products
Qualifications and Skills
- Motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven, positive attitude
- Sound building supplies knowledge is required.
- Previous sales experience in a builders or plumber’s merchant environment is a necessity.
- Confident dealing with customers
- The ability to build great customer relationships.
- A good telephone manner, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate.
