Job Description

DP World is seeking a proactive and strategic Manager for Business Development Europe to lead value-driven initiatives aligned with DP World’s global and regional growth ambitions. This role involves identifying, validating, and developing new business opportunities across the European market, supporting the overall ports and logistics strategy. The successful candidate will bring strong financial acumen and strategic insight to develop business cases, lead projects, and foster relationships with key stakeholders in a complex and evolving industry landscape.

How You Will Contribute

• Identify, evaluate, and develop business development initiatives and investments aligned with DP World’s strategy in Europe and globally.
• Lead the preparation of robust business plans and high-quality presentations to articulate value propositions and support strategic decisions.
• Drive due diligence processes for logistics transactions and lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute investment projects of varying sizes.
• Challenge assumptions and analyse detailed financial and strategic data to recommend optimal investment plans and transaction structures.
• Maintain clear communication and alignment with internal teams and head office to ensure compliance with group policies and governance standards.
• Manage a pipeline of business opportunities by screening and evaluating potential projects to support sustainable growth.
• Build and maintain strong external relations with government bodies, regulators, industry stakeholders, and community representatives to protect and promote DP World’s interests.
• Oversee contractual relationships with service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
• Support continuous business improvement initiatives and act as an ambassador for DP World internally and externally.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and governance standards within all areas of responsibility.
  
  

What Will You Bring

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, or business development within the ports, logistics, or related sectors.
• Strong numeracy and financial modeling skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop detailed financial projections.
• Proven track record managing large-scale projects, including Brownfield or Greenfield developments, with cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
• Experience leading diverse teams, often through indirect reporting lines, to meet project and business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and secure buy-in from multiple parties, including government, regulators, and community groups.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex, dynamic business environments.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of economics, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and asset monetization.
• Effective communication skills, with experience developing high-level presentations for senior leadership and external audiences.
• Relevant educational background, such as a CFA charter, master’s degree in finance, economics, or accountancy, or equivalent professional experience in top-tier consulting, investment banking, or Big Four firms.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, setting priorities and driving initiatives to completion.
