Role Purpose
Enable supplier management and risk management, build relationships with strategic third-party suppliers and internal business teams.
Please note that this is a temporary role for approximately 52 weeks.
Key Accountabilities
- Support IHG supplier management centre of excellence by carrying out the strategy and capability framework, ensuring commercial, performance, relationship and risk management
- Provide support for the management of 'strategic' contracts including driving SLA performance & Contract Obligations
- Help mitigate risk in large strategic contracts by actively reviewing and owning business continuity plans, supplier audits, SOC2 compliance and other relevant supplier obligations.
- Manage suppliers by using designated relationship management tools and framework to enhance relationships and maximize value
- Drive innovation and value as well as preventing value leakage in strategic contracts through active supplier management
- Remain up to date with key market trends and practices on supplier relationship management
- Develop Visual management tools to communicate enterprise supplier status & enterprise supplier risk
- Work with vendor management teams in the business to maximize impact and disperse strategies and tools developed by the Enterprise Supplier Management Team
- Enable supplier management for critical and preferred suppliers by procurement teams and business teams
Key Skills & Experiences
Education –
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, IS, Purchasing Management or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience –
At least 6+ years progressive work experience in multiple areas of business – procurement or supply chain management, financial or business analysis, technology, contract management and asset management.
1-3 years managing teams showing a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Must have a demonstrated ability to build cooperation and trust with colleagues and cross-functional teams and establish strong working relationships to deliver positive results.
Technical skills and Knowledge –
- Demonstrated experience in managing large strategic contracts in a global business
- Detailed knowledge of contract/commercial management and negotiation tools and techniques
- Strong influencing, communication and change management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Mix of business understanding and strong expertise in supplier relationship management to optimise performance and innovation.
