Engineering Manager – Tanks to lead the development and delivery of our fully integrated Tanks product range. This is a pivotal role embedded within our Plant Equipment team, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our engineering capability on a global scale.
- Driving the technical maturity of the Tanks product range.
- Leading and developing a high-performing, inclusive engineering team.
- Creating and implementing strategies and delivery models to meet programme milestones.
- Ensuring governance, quality, and assurance across all team outputs.
- Managing programme budgets and supporting business growth.
- Acting as a key interface with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders across multiple sites.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong background in product development across the full lifecycle: requirements, design, analysis, manufacture, installation, and maintenance.
- Experience working with industry standards such as ASME III/VIII, EN13445, PED/PSSR.
- Proven ability to lead product development within the supply chain, including supplier engagement and intelligent customer support.
- Ideally, experience with Tanks product development, standardisation, verification, and safety cases.
Leadership and programme delivery:
- Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams through complex product development programmes.
- Ability to balance technical, programme, and people leadership responsibilities.
- Experience building and scaling teams, fostering innovation, and maintaining a SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) resource base.
Communication and stakeholder engagement:
- Skilled in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, regulators, and suppliers.
- Capable of presenting complex technical and safety case arguments and facilitating cross-functional discussions.
Programme management to deliver complex programmes to demanding timescales in complex business environments:
- Ability to demonstrate project management skills in an engineering context, this includes handling projects that have a high level of ambiguity, with the ability to control and provide direction to resolve this ambiguity.
- Development and management of complex integrated product delivery programmes, including being responsible for managing the assigned budget (both labour and non-labour costs) and managing progress of activities. This will also include being responsible for managing unit production costs.
Pay And Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £57,600 - £75,600 DOE plus:-
- Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
- Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
- Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
- Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
- Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
- Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
- £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
