Managing Director – Deep Tech / Additive Manufacturing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable Managing Director to join a growing, deep-tech company at the forefront of Additive Manufacturing and Industrial Innovation.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with the ability to set strategic direction, drive commercial success, and inspire a high-performing team through the company’s next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Define and deliver strategic growth plans, aligning operations, technology, and business development.
Lead commercial activities, including sales, marketing, partnerships, and brand positioning.
Oversee financial management, including forecasting, reporting, and investor relations.
Play a pivotal role in fundraising and capital raising to accelerate expansion.
Build and nurture a motivated, high-performing team through talent acquisition, development, and retention.
Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management across the business.
Collaborate closely with technical leadership to bring cutting-edge technologies into industrial application.

Ideal Candidate

Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences, is beneficial, with strong financial and commercial acumen. A candidate who has progressed into general and business management, from an accountancy background, qualified either ACA, ACCA, or ACMA, could also be suitable.

Proven executive leadership experience in a commercial technology environment, ideally within additive manufacturing, advanced engineering, or industrial technology.
Track record in fundraising and leading on securing investment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at every level.
Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a start-up/scale-up environment.
