About Federated Hermes Private Markets – Infrastructure
Following the recent majority acquisition of the UK-based renewable energy project development business, Rivington Energy, we are taking the next step in our journey to grow our infrastructure business. We are looking to recruit a Managing Director to lead our next investment strategy as Portfolio Manager. The strategy is currently under development, expected to be primarily focused on energy transition and adjacent sectors.
We are looking for a Portfolio Manager with visionary leadership, significant investment execution experience, and innovative thinking to help shape our future product development, collaborate on marketing strategies, and inspire a high-performing origination and execution team.
Federated Hermes is a global leader in active, responsible investment with over $800 billion of assets under management including over $20 billion in Private Markets across four asset classes, including infrastructure, private equity, private credit and real estate (as at 30 June 2025).
Candidate Background and Profile:
We are seeking an experienced commercial professional who brings both depth of expertise and a proven track record of success in infrastructure portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have built their career as a principal within an infrastructure investor and will have structured, launched and marketed funds, led investment transactions from origination through to close, and can point to a strong history of deal execution and value creation.
A deep understanding of the infrastructure, energy transition and adjacent sectors is essential. We are looking for someone who is recognised as an innovator and thought leader, is able to bring fresh strategic thinking and a broad commercial perspective to opportunities. Equally important is the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders—industry partners, advisors, consultants, and regulators—building trusted relationships and delivering outcomes through collaboration.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate, and you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our infrastructure business.
