We are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor in Rail to join our Infrastructure team.
What you'll do:
- Ensure the scope, notices, terms and conditions of the project are implemented.
- Lead and develop the contract procedures, payments and variations together with contact entitlements.
- Administer the Main Contract so Skanska can obtain all of their entitlements and limit contractual risk.
- Ensure the cost plan and base data is received and integrated into commercial forecasting and reporting procedures and data.
- Ensure the design management plan reflects affordability.
- Lead and develop the strategy for the contracted works and the procurement procedures for the package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Previous experience of Managing Quantity Surveyor level
- Detailed working knowledge of construction contract law
- Experience of working at a commercial capacity within senior management teams
- MRICS / MCInstCES qualified highly desirable/degree educated in a relevant subject.
- Previous experience working on major civil engineering/rail infrastructure contracts desirable
- NEC Contract Experience Desirable – specifically NEC4 Option C Target Cost
